During his Tulane Dermatology residency, Dr. Claiborne received numerous scholarships and grants to attend national meetings, master novel techniques and “best in class” treatments for difficult cases. In his final year of training, Dr. Claiborne served as Cosmetic Chief Resident and oversaw Tulane Dermatology’s cosmetic clinic and resident aesthetic education. He is passionate about minimally invasive facial rejuvenation and the products to do so – neuromodulators (such as Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®), injectable fillers (such as Juvederm® and Restylane®), chemical peels, cosmeceuticals, and lasers. He has recently been trained on Kybella,® an injectable for non-invasive “double chin” fat reduction.
He maintains active memberships with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, Women’s Dermatological Society, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Dermatology Foundation, the Skin Cancer Foundation, the Medical Dermatology Society, and the Louisiana Dermatological Society. He is a staff dermatologist at Touro Infirmary and is awaiting privileges at Ochsner Baptist and Saint Bernard Parish Hospital.
A new father himself, Dr. Claiborne also has a keen interest in pediatric dermatology. He trained at Children’s Hospital Dermatology Clinic during residency and is adept at treating infants and adolescents. He tries to treat every patient, big or small as if there were his own family. He hopes to see you or your loved ones in the near future!
